The purpose of the tax incentive collaborative is to create a comprehensive and competitive tax treaty of incentives for domestic and global business relocation to the IIPOD Impact Zone. Additional goals would include:

• Facilitating a coordinated, ‘linear/foreign’ tax package for pre-qualified businesses
• Identifying and expediting the relocation process and eliminating the ‘red tape’ associated with typical business relocation
• Maximizing IIPOD transportation assets and offer businesses low-cost trade opportunities
• Establishing a uniquely simplified tax package and set a national precedent for Dallas-area commerce
• Harmonization of ad valorem taxes

This component will facilitate the cooperation of the southern and eastern sector municipalities and Dallas County in attracting business and jobs to the area.
